I am in Paris. I am alive. I will update more when I am not at a crappy internet kiosk in the hostel. Highlights of the day: funny taxi driver, being good at French, buying cell phones with Vaune. Lowlights of the day: many more.

Le départ

Today I leave for France. Following in Erin vs. Paris' footsteps, and also due to suggestions from family members, I have decided to take a break from packing to create a public blog to catalog my adventures in wine country.

Those adventures begin at 6:45 this evening, when I board American Airlines flight 0146 to Paris. I will spend a few days in Paris doing orientation, and then go to Angers for a month to study at the Centre International d'Etudes de Français (International French Studies Center), before returning to Paris in October for classes at the Sorbonne and the Institut Catholique.
